Preamp/DAC Signal Chain Question
Hi all,
It's been a while, but I dusted off my old equipment and got a new ART Tubefire to play around with. Thing is, I used to have a Mackie mixer with sidechain inputs for my rack units and a separate soundcard. I'm not sure how to go about it with just the preamp/converter. This has no sidechain, as it's not a mixer, just an eight-channel preamp with FW interface. Can I go into one channel, out of that channel into noisebox, out of noisebox into second channel? Or will that create a loop and blow up the preamp? If I can do that, I would want gain on the first but not the second channel, right? If I can't do that, is there another way? Thanks in advance. |
