Kurzweil K1000 Keyboard Contact Strips

Hello all,

I have a great K1000, but it needs new contact strips for the keyboard.

I read somewhere (maybe here) that the keyboard units where manufactured by Fatar....can anyone confirm this?

I've already checked the Midi-Store and the ones they have pictured are not the correct ones.

Anyone out there know anywhere they can be found?

Thanks,
The Tenor Man

well i hate to be the bearer of bad news but.... iirc.. those are not fatar contacts... those used keydecks made by matsushita ak techniques (sp?) and have been very hard to find even back in the 90's when i worked on them... so the chances of finding them now are way low at best... if ya have an independent repair facility localy that does the yech stuff ya may find some but dont be surprised... are they dried out and tearing??? if not a careful cleaning may resurrect the beast... let me know if ya need details...
