Stop Error Message Caused By USB device

Until I moved, I never had issues with XP & my Akai MPD16 Midi Controller. When I moved XP would prompt me to insert the disk for the MPD16. Now there are still error messages but XP is not letting me uninstall the software (so I can reinstall it).
