ASR-X PRO "unexpected error 65"

Hey guys! I'm having trouble with my Ensoniq ASR-X PRO. When it is powered up it reads "Sorry! an unexpected error 65 has occurred." It has worked great up to this point. Now it will not boot up at all.

Is there a procedure to corrrect this? A "reset" or something?

Are there any other Websites/forums that may help me?

Thanks in advance for any info you can give me on this.

-jlanders

sorry cant really help but i've worked on some ensoniq gear in the past... they never realy wanted it to be serviced in the field beyond board swaps... most of the time you couldn't get schemos ... and the service manuals were some of the shortest on record... it would say things like check voltage at point xyz then if 5v check point abc if 0v buy board #687416541... that said one thing worth trying is replace the battery and try a reset if you can find your manual...

Thanks a bunch for that info. We will give it a try. A friend actually has the ASR in another state right now with all the manuals. I'm telling him everything I find out about this.

You said there is a "reset". Is that a prodecure or one of those little pin buttons, or what?

Thanks again!
