So I have logic and love that round bass and fat drum sound, warm vocals and guitar. Any advice how to achieve it on digital?

Listen to all Beatle albums '66 thru '70. They did it with four tracks analog, so it should be a song for you.

Ed, what do you refer to? Only to the last album (5), or all of them? In my opinion, 'Let Love Rule' and 'Mama Said' are QUITE analog-sounding.
David. P.S.: have a look at the back cover of these albums: noticed this little note on the analog equipment stuff? |

I think Drummer boy was refering to older Kravitz..(are ya gonna go my way era) Lenny was known for using vintage Analog gear, just up until his latest studio album.."5"... that was when he started with the pro-tools crap..... everything, including his ruin of an "american woman" cover..... The new song sounds good though.... The newest single... (can't recall the proper name, but it's something like.. "Will I ever see you again?"...I wonder if he scrapped the Tools, cause it sounds pretty warm and analog....

Plus, seeing his setup in numerous magazines and interviews, solidifies this fact.

I've been told that he tracks everything with a lot of vintage gear to tape, then transfers it to DAW, and mixes and cuts and rearrange it there.
I still wonder what "that ProTools soun" is, but if Lenny Kravitz last albums have it, I want it too!
