MOTU Midi Timepiece II
I recently picked up a used MTP II to integrate all of my MIDI gear. Problem is, it can only communicate with an old Mac computer or a PC with a proprietary ISA board! Now it has a standard serial port with a Mac 8 pin DIN connector. I have made and 8-Pin DIN to DB9 connector and hooked it up to my windows PC.
I installed SheepShaver (a powerpc emulator) and Mac OS 9 with the proper MOTU drivers on my windows PC, but cannot get them to synch (probably a timing issue). I'm wondering if anyone has any info on what the Sysex messages for the MTP II look like, or if anyone has tried anything like this in the past. Thanks! |
