The never heard stuff.

I was feeling really nostalgic and listened to some of the stuff I recorded when I began with music. I started at about 11, and wrote my first song (with lyrics) when I was about 14. None of these songs but one have ever been heard outside of my family. Here we go.
This first one is very special to me as it is the first song I wrote.
She's so tired
This song was writen for a video project I did.
In my mind
This song is the epitome or horribility. It is a parody of here comes the sun. It is pretty funny I thougt, but what really got me to laughing was the really bad playing and singing involved in this recording.
Here come the cops
I posted a demo a long time ago of a song called what's goin' on. Here is the original demo.
What's goin' on
Here is a cover of a "They might be giants" song.
Istanbul
I wrote this song one day while looking around my room.
Life
This is a cover of a John Lennon song.
Love
This was great for me to stumble on to. I didn't even remember recording this and it sounded great to me. A cover of a Rande Newman song.
louisiana
This is a song I wrote about crappy toys.
Made in china
Here is a really old cover of a Beatles song.
Martha my dear
Here is an instrumental version of the theme from mash.
Mash
Here is a more recent cover of one of Brian Wilson's new songs.
Midnight's another day
Here is an old cover of one of my favorite Eagles songs.
Pretty maids all in a row
Another Randy Newman cover.
Red bandana
Here is another one of the first songs I wrote.
Think about you always
And now I will end where it began. This is another original, and it is the first ever song I posted to this forum all nervous and eager for people to hear. I hope you have liked these, and I hope to hear from you all.
Darlin'

-Adam.

I dropped onto darlin'.
Sounds like early Harry Nilsson in the bvox styles - also some of the peformance & melody.
I don't think it need sthe effect. I like the brevity (Randy newman did a few mini tracks) too.

She's so tired - very cool arrangement, it sort of goes in an out of various phases...The sibilence is a bit harsh but generally an excellent vibe. When did you record this piece?

I recorded she's so tired when I was about 14, so about 05-06. I was using a bad dynamic mic, and audacity. The keyboard was plugged into the line in jack if I remember correctly. It may have gone into a radioshack mixer. The mic was a radioshack mic, and I didn't have a preamp, so I plugged it into an old yamaha guitar amp of my dad's, and ran the headphone output to the line in jack. (or mixer) I wish I still had a good multitrack for that. It is really cool for me to listen to some of that stuff I recorded back then with limited gear, and audacity, because in some ways, I was better. I was more willing to do more stuff with vocals, and add more and weirder effects to stuff. I think some of it is really cool, and she's so tired is one of my favorites.

I listened to..

...She's So Tired. Nice tracks and clever tune. The harmony vox go a bit flat at times and that's bothersome but not so much that I stop listening. Nice effort.

I know. That is one thing that has always made me angry about the song.
