Recording Live show w/Boss 1600CD
I recently bought this and have tried recording my full band's shows. The problem is, my mix clips like crazy..just straight distortion, very annoying to listen to. What I did was put everything through the PA (Behringer mixer) ...and then took the line out from the mixer into 2 stereo inputs on the boss recorder. Is that wrong? Should it be clipping?
My second question is whether or not this is a better way to do it: Put all instruments into separate channels on the Boss Recorder and then take line out from the recorder into the mixer out to the crowd? Would that be better? It's harder to do on the spot effects and what not...but it would be better as far as recording goes right? |
