Issues with Yamaha UX16

Hey, all. I'm having a perplexing problem with my Yamaha UX16.

I'm trying to play in some parts, and every once in a while the interface freaks out. It'll be triggering and recording fine, but then out of the blue it will start only catching every 6th or 10th or 15th note and sustaining that note indefinitely. Once I stop and start recording again, it triggers fine again for a time, but will ultimately start freaking out again.

On playback, I haven't had as many issues, although it does occasionally infinitely sustain a random note.

Thoughts? I know the UX16 isn't the most highly regarded USB interface, but I'm hoping there's just a weird setting somewhere that I can fix.

I'm using a variety of keyboards (depending on if I'm at home or work) into the Yamaha into Sibelius 3.
