Epiphone Casino mod question

I have my eye on an Epiphone Casino in a local shop. The price is right but I prefer the trapeze bridge as opposed to the Bigsby unit that is presently installed.

Can anyone tell me if it is a major drama to get the Bigsby replaced with the trapeze unit?

As usual, all help appreciated.

Cheers,
Mike.

Simple mod the shop should do it for you as part of the deal for little or nothing. Make sure you get the bigsby back.

If it is a used guitar you may find that there is a shadow under the Bigsby where the finish has not faded from sunlight. On a new guitar this shouldn't be a problem. If the shadow isn't too pronounced, things should even out over time.

I own a Casino Elitist with a Bigsby. I play live with it and never use the Bigsby. I just fold the arm back and leave it like that.
Why not just do that?

Australia? Hmm.... How much would it be to ship that sucker? I'd totally pay for the shipping, if it's cheaper than buying a new one...
