dbx 376 digital out problem
Heya - can any one help?
I have a DBX 376 with digital out. Have a Macbook with Ableton Live 7 and running into a little Alesis i02. Can get audio in to my DAW via jack/XLR but no via the digital out. Have good quality SP DIF cable running but only getting a "pulsing" read on Ableton's VU meter and no audio |

Do you have the sample rates/bit depth matched on the Alesis and the dbx? You'll have to manually set each one to the same rate and depth to make them communicate properly. For example, my dbx 386 always powers on to 24/96KHz, so I have to remember to set to to 24/48KHz (what I usually leave my sound card at). Also in my case, I have to tell my Echo Mia to use the dbx's clock (external) instead of the Mia's internal clock. Otherwise I get static.
