FS: Real Bass Traps !!!

Hi gang, it’s been a long time since I visited this site maybe 5 years, well I'm no longer involved in any audio work and have sold all my gear long time a go, but kept the one thing that I build from scratch which was the most useful piece of equipment in my small home studio.

I remember Ethan did not have his real traps commercialized yet, but he was a big help to me in building these traps. So Ethan big thank you and huge shout out to you my friend.

So let’s get down to the important stuff.

I have 7 bass traps in total.

3 low bass traps each measuring:

2 of these are 24” wide by 72” high and 5” thick very heavy, but two guys can lift with no problems.

1 of these is 24” by 82” by 5”

The high bass traps are total 4 units.

2 of these are 24” by 72” by 2 3/8”
2 of these are 24” by 82” by 2 3/8”

As you can see in the pictures not as pretty as Eathan's but they work.

Owen Corning fiberglass inside the traps, well basically I followed Ethan’s instructions when making these.

Total I think the material cost me at that time around $800 CND plus one week of sweat and blood.

I’m selling everything for a total of $1000 CND obo.

I used these in a fully glass sunroom so the after effect was very dramatic, about 70% improvement at least. There is no foam on the market which can come even close to this type of acoustic insulation.

I’m located in Toronto, so buyer must pick up, there will be no shipping.

I will not separate these items unless you find someone to buy the remaining pieces.

Cheers

Hey,

Are you back in Canada? It seems much has changed for both of us over the last few years.

Cheers,

Chris

I had to go thru 4 or 5 local wood miils to pick out the best quality. Also this way you''re not going to breath the fiberglass.

We kept 3 of the LPs, although I'd still sell one of those if I could get the right price. All the others are long gone. Unfortunately, like you, I've had to focus on other things so audio/recording has taken a back seat for the last year or so.

Hope everything works out for you.

Chris

Price drop to $700, plus I'll include a bag full of Owen Corning fiberglass sheets in case you want to build more of these.

Cheers
