Adlib Panning, Help!

I pan an adlib 75 to the left and an adlib 75 to the right, and have my main vocal in the middle, and it sounds great through headphones (perfect environment) an car usually, but in some cases such as a surround sound stereo system an some others, in stereo mode the adlibs cant be heard like at all??? I dont wanna crank up the levels of the adlibs so they sound way to loud on headphones, but then sound good ona stereo, i needa healthy medium, please help!

By Adlib, you don't mean this ear grinder, do you?


Anyways, are you sure, the surround system actually is set to stereo? If so, it shouldn't sound different than on a regular stereo system at all. Sounds much like a missing channel to me.
If you checked that, try using a phase shifter on one channel, as this will place the sound in the surround (prologic) space. Keep in mind that the result isn't mono compatible, though.
