Just got one of these off Craigslist - this "tubessence" thing - obviously a starved plate thingee - the eq sounds pretty good - I was wondering if any experienced hand with this knows how to utilize whatever the "tube" adds to this - do you turn the inputs hotter to get whatever it adds or is it always present? I don't have another parametric to compare it to (except a noisy one on my art pro channel) - is there a "best" way to use this for clean or "tubed"? Strategy is appreciated!
