Trouble after upgrading to 7.4.2
I just upgraded to ProTools 7.4.2 on a Mac and I can't open the sessions saved on my external hard drive. The message I get is the following:
"This session is saved on a volume set to "Transfer" only. If permitted, set the volume in question to "P" (playback) or "R" (record) in the Workspace. Otherwise, choose OK to save a copy of this session and its media to a valid playback volume. The session copy will automatically open from the chosen location." What does this mean? Thanks for your help. |

ummm....it's telling you to open the workspace and set the drives to R (record) instead of T (transfer)
have you tried doing that?

The message appeared when I was trying to change from T to R . So, finally I called Apple Technical support and they helped me:1) I copied all my files from external HD to a new folder,2)I went to utilities and changed the settings of the volume on HD--then I was able to change workspace from Transfer to Record.3)Dragged my audio files back from the folder to HD
