DI box question?

At present i have a tapco DI box that I use to go out from my mixer.

I use the XLR out of my mixer into the jack plug into my DI box.

Is it worth gertting a DI box with an XLR out too and then use a XLR to jack lead stragiht to my guitar, rather then a jack to jack lead ?
Will that help improve the signal or is it likely to be too much for my mixer.

I have a compact mixer the soundcraft epm 6.

I also use a powered speaker the RCF 310 A.

Sorry folks

I made a mistake in description. what i meant was I use an XLr to XLR going into my soundcraft mixer's mic input & not the main XLR output from the mixer.

The main XLR output goes straght to my powered speaker.

Guitar 1/4" to DI XLR to mixer to speakers. What's the question? Seems straight forward to me.

You're saying you want to run a 1/4" to XLR adaptor cable from your guitar to your DI box and the XLR/XLR from there to your mixer?

Why? What's the benefit?

Why in the world would you use a DI to handle the output of your mixer?

All DI's have XLR outputs. What are you asking?

The only thing that makes any of this make sense to me is to assume that you mean "output" every time you say "input", and vice versa. Doing that, I'll answer your question.

There aren't any DI boxes that have XLR inputs that I know of, and even if there were, adapting your guitar to XLR with a cable adaptor doesn't make it balanced; that's what a DI box is for (which is the reason there aren't any with XLR inputs).

So the answer to your question is "no".
