It spawns a screen that says your "popup blocker should be off". Then it spawns the player and does it's thing. My computer's an old/slow dog, so playback sounds a bit choppy, but it plays!

I don't know if you tried this, but, if you want to get better timing in your recordings you should play the song (on guitar) to a click track. I find that doing drums first (if that is what you did, it sounds like it) is much harder. If you track the guitar to a click track, you will be playing the drums to the guitar track. This allows you to free up your mind on how the song goes and allow you to play with more toms, cymbals etc. Doing it this way will also make you a better drummer as you will be free to "jam" more instead of haveing to keep track of where you are in the song.

Timing was a bit of an issue. I tracked the left guitar first just as a dry run. I didn't originally intend to make a production of it. Threw the vocals down casually, then put the other parts on later.

Often times I like to track a hand percussion as a click track initially, and that tightens it up a lot at the outset. This time it was just tracks I compiled off what was otherwise a dry run, which wasn't real tight to begin with. After the tracks were done, it's noticeablly flawed but not a heinous timing issue or a literal trainwreck, so I posted it up as ~what the heck~.

That plays into the theme that I don't have a whole lot of time to play or record, and just do what I can when the mood strikes me. Re-doing stuff chasing a perfectionistic ideal sometimes goes by the wayside! I'm aware my stuff has flaws as I post it. I like to make good recordings or the best I can, but sometimes I just bang 'em out and they're a bit raw.

I only work sometimes off a literal click track, but often prefer hand percussion as a backbone initially. This recording had neither.

What kinda file is it? Can you isolate one song and save as a mp3?

It's the cheesey Soundclick embedded player. WMP won't recognize or play it. I think you have to sign up initially into Soundclick as a listener or musician, (free/no strings). Sorry!
