Is my room studiable?

Alright, so I'm just getting into the whole making a home studio business, and I was wondering if I should even try with my room. It's kind of weirdly shaped and has some angled ceilings. I don't want a very fancy home studio, but just something that won't detract from my recordings. And don't worry, I'm planning on moving all of my crap out of the room before I work on it.

Id like to think any room would be "studiable" but I think it depends on the amount of work and budget you wanted to put into it. The windows may cause some headaches but I think you could make it happen. Not completely smart in this area so I say good luck on your room.

The angled ceilings in the corners are good. I'd say that room is very 'studiable' in a home-recording sense. The acoustics won't be exceptional, but they'll definitely be good enough to produce a quality record if you have the know-how.

Cool thanks! What would you suggest doing for some simple sound treatment? All I've thought about so far is getting some curtains for the windows and maybe some foam for one of the corners to turn into a sort of vocal booth.

You'll need some broadband bass control in the room for sure. Also, if you're doing drums in there, you'll want to create a hard floor under it and hit the ceiling with somethint relatively thick to give a nice 'big' sound but not swamp the mics.

Alright thanks! And I have a few more questions: what would you suggest doing about the closet? Should I remove the doors and treat it as another space in the room or could I just get a curtain and cover it like a window? And for your hard floor suggestion would it be fine to just get a big square to put under the kit or does the entire room need to be wooded?
