Does anyone out there know if a tascam 688 can be sync-ed to a tascam 238? I know that 2 tracks will be lost due to striping, but would you be able to use the 688's mixer for all track's? Don't know how this would work.

maybe, I don't know if the 688 can be a slave. But the 238 can be synced to the 688 in any case.

And yes, with its total of 20 input you can use the 688 mixer for the 238 too.
