Hooking up Comp and Reverb to Tascam 388
Please don't laugh, I'm a total newb at this stuff! Just got my 388 back from repair (shipping damage, go figure). I'm in the process of just figuring everything out. I'm not a pro, and this is just a little hobby for me. Already I'm getting some great sounds. I am fairly technically minded, but I'm having a really hard time figuring these things out - the manual, while helpful, does not speak Newb.
So I just have a cheap Alesis Comp and Nanoverb. I can get the Nano to come through while monitoring, but I can't get it to record along with the line signal. I've tried everything I can think of. I can't get the Comp to come through at all. I was wondering if anyone familiar with these, could tell me exactly where and how to get these effects shaping some guitar sounds. I know it's better to add these at mix down - but I'm really trying to simplify - my rig is a Shure KSM27, Behringer tube pre, 388, and the above effects. Just a little analog home studio. Any help anyone can provide about how best to get those effects to tape would be much appreciated - I just have 1/4 patches, and I guess I need a splitter 1/4 for the Comp? Thanks! |
