Sent in a broken bx8a monitor about a month back, got it back today. Not fixed. Not even a little. Same exact shit as before.

On the phone they seemed as surprised as me to find this the case. They said they'd send out a fedex label so I wouldn't have to pay to ship it out there again, but frankly I've been without it too long already, and i have a project due soon I need it for.

Keep in mind it's still under warranty.

He's going to call me back regarding whether or not they have another bx8a they can send me NOW so I won't have to be without monitors for another month, but he doesn't sound optimistic about that. I'm getting that sick feeling, that pit in my stomach that tells me I'm about to be screwed by a corporation.

So, any of you ever deal with M-Audio? They a good outfit? Is this just a rare screw up I can expect them to deal with conscientiously? Everyone messes up sometimes, maybe I'm flying off the handle. But fuck, after being without monitors for a month, you can imagine the disappointment when I opened the box, plugged it in, and found they hadn't touched the thing.

Also, since I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be shopping for new monitors in the near future, anybody want to share the name of their favorite $300 pair?

Thanks.

p.s. If I'm wrong, and they handle it well, I'll be back to kiss their asses in this and any other forum I can find!

They're sending me a brand new pair of bx8a deluxe's, the newer version of my monitors, 3-day fedex no less, as well as a paid shipping label for me to send them my old monitors. What more could I possibly have asked for? I'm officially a fan of the M-Audio company!

Location: I hit a live electric bass repeatedly with a maraca, so I needed to mic the maraca and the bass amp at the same time.
