Pro tools Rewire or VST to RTAS Converter

Does anyone use Pro Tools Rewire and another sequencer to gain access to VSTs? For example you could run your VSTs in Reason and have it rewired into Pro Tools. Would this be better than getting a VST to RTAS Converter?

I've done it...it works, but really requires much more CPU power than really necessary. The VST/RTAS converter is only 70 bucks.

I don't think it does...but I have rewired Reaper with it. I'm sure you could with other programs that are Rewire compatible. It just took up a lot of CPU power on my little ol' computer. It wasn't worth the extra effort, IMO.

Elicantu, do you have that? How seamless is it? I've been thinking about getting it to regain access to all the vst's I got when I was still using Sonar.
