I am thinking about buying a TM-D1000 and I want to interface it with a Digi-001 with Pro Tools.

I think it's possible but a pain in the arse and not worth it. Do you need an external mixer as well as a controler? If so save up and get the 01v or something similar. Plus the 1000 doesn't have motorized faders, so automation is a pain in the ass! Save some green and get a better quality mixer, you'll bve very very happy!

You might be better off using something different.
Like Wallycleaver said, "it would be a pain in the arse". And, you would not have AUTOMATION, unless...Digidesign makes a STUDIOWARE PANEL for the Tascam piece (which I seriously doubt, but I could be wrong about that ).You might be better off looking into a MOTOMIX. spin

The motormix is cool. But no xlr's in so if you need a mixer and a control surface. o1v rules. From what I hear it takes about a weekend to get midi code synced between the 2 but well worth it!
