Sample CRAZY!!!!

What are songs that you heard that could possibly be flipped into somethin' new (especially old tracks)?

Just a topic for conversation (it could go on for DAYS) and who knows...somebody might run with your idea and flip a song into a new beat.

What would you flip if you could (what parts too...like acapella, beat sections, instrument solos...)?

Fie.

I can tell you a sample that I started working on and it is not old school at all.
I was working on it and then I lost my drive, but trust me it was getting dope! I had some Mcee's lined up with verses too! Anyway:

It was titled "They like me".

It was from 50 cents "In da club".

The complete sample was "They like me I want them to love me like they loved Pac"...........

It was a dope concept (I thought!) We had it rolling and then the gas prices shot up and dudes couldn't commute the way they used to. So we just lost interest. May sound wacked to some, but it was a fun ride while it lasted!

if you chop it and screw it up, it'd be interesting.

New school I'd go with Lil' Scrappy's "Money In The Bank" where he says "I got a big ass family, how you gon' stop me" just chop it up up and screw it right.

Old school, I'd probably rip some Al Green (so much I could do there) or...OR....Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healin'" where he says "when I get that feelin'" speed up the pitch and make a nice east coast hype track.

Fiev.
