Start play, wait, then record

I'm trying to figure out how I could start recording in the middle of an existing track and be able to without a pause. So, if you were to just start recording you'd have a hesitation or would try to start right as you click record. Is there anyway to move back a few seconds, have it start the playback, then start recording at a certain time?

I've tried to find this in my Pro Tools book, but can't.

Thanks for your help.

Alternatively you can put the record mode in to "Quick Punch".

another method would be to cut the part you don't like, create another audio track to record to, record on the new track while monitoring the original, trim the edges you don't need, then pull it up into the track with the hole in it.
