Vintage Altec Stuff

I am forced to let go of some great gear due to cash flow situation.
Altec 1567A mixer/pre
Altec 1591A compressor
Very sweet sounding units.
I might be willing to do mix of cash and gear for the right stuff.
Lets talk.

Put what you'd take in cash on the thread. My curiosity is certainly piqued.

Thanks for your interest guys. There is a comp on ebay now at $450. so that would be my starting price. I hadn't thought this would be a bidding situation, but...whatever. Buyer pays shipping and ins. PM me

thanks

I had a 1567a for a number of years. I liked tracking mono drums with dynamic mikes through that thing. Sold it recently to buy a pair of M130s, which was totally the right call for me, but those Altecs are good solid units, well built and well designed. Be aware that they are not particularly quiet, though they have tons of gain!

Cheers,

Otto
