soundwave604 is on a distinguished road
Shure KSM32SL or Rode NT2A !?!?HELP!!

Ok, here's the deal....

Im recording R&B, Pop and Hip Hop vocals....I have about $600 to spend and am looking for a quality, mainly male vocal mic. I used to have an AT 3035 which ran me good for about 2 years, but now it's time for an upgrade and my local music shop sells both of these mics.....

The Shure runs for $575 and the Rode is on sale for $479.

The Shure comes with a shock mount which I need, and I heard it was a good mic for hip hop recording......the guys at the store who own the Rode however tell me that the Rode is a great mic, which doesnt include the mount. So now it's a toss up. Just bleep the mount out of the equation for now.....let's just focus on the mics and the better deal not for the price but the better mic period as I can afford both.

Which one should I go for.....I need it before this weekend so ya....all the help I get would be appreciated!!!!

Get the one that you like better, and that sounds better on your voice.

If you have no way of auditioning them, then just flip a coin, or pick the one you think looks prettier.
