ATR-60 vs JH-110 vs BR-20

An expensive but very nice looking Tascam ATR-60 has shown up on eBay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Tascam-ATR-60-re...QQcmdZViewItem

I've often thought that I want to get a jh-110 but could be tempted by the ATR-60. And it appears that the MCI is more in my price range.

I wonder how the ATR-60, BR-20 and JH-110 a,b or c stack up to each other.

Wow, that seems SKY HIGH for a two-track deck of any sort. Then again I was lucky enough to find my 42B for $0. Seriously contact your local radio and TV stations, and see if they have any old equipment they are no longer using.... they may be happy to have you haul it off!

Actually, for a 1/2" 30 ips machine that's not ridiculous if the heads are in good shape. If I had snagged those 1/2" Saki heads for my M-79 1/2", I could probably sell it for $2000. After all, a new 1/2" head stack will cost at least that much.

Cheers,

Otto
