teac 80-8 setup help wanted

2 questions i just aquired a 80-8 unlike the 4 track i have it dont have sync switches it has input normal and monitor is input 4 recding 1st trac monitor 4 overdubing and norm ply back it also came w teacpb64 bay 4 rows it was labled top row in 2ndout3in isint it out in out help ive no manual thanx belial

I think 'normal' is 'sync', under a different name but someone, who knows the 80-8, needs to confirm. I didn't understand the rest of your question though...

You did better than I did in trying to figure it out. Punctuation is your friend. Using letters for words makes this very hard to figure out. If you really need help you shouldn't make those you request for help have to struggle to read what you are saying.

With an 80-8 you will leave the center button "Norm" pressed for most recording purposes. Once you press the "Function Select" button for a particular channel the input to that channel is what is heard. In your initial recording, if you are recording on tracks 1 - 4 you would press the "Function Select" buttons for those channels, then press "Rec" and "Play" together to enter record mode. "Monitor" could be used for bouncing tracks and is also used in the calibration process.
