2 synthesizers and 2 keyboards with qy700

I connected 2 keyboard controllers to the midi-in ports and 2 synthesizers on the midi-out ports of the QY700.

All recorded tracks play the right instruments.

But the only way to select an external synthesizers is by highlighting the one track by which the synth is controlled.

Is there an other way to select 2 different synths for the 2 controllers? I only manage to play one synth on both keyboards.

The other hardware is an AN1x, TG33 and CBX-K1XG.
The MIDI echo back in-A en in-B are on RecMonitor mode.

something in your disciption doesnt sound right but i cant put my finger on it... and since no one else has responded let me try... check your manual to see if the 2 midi ins are separate or if they simply paralell... what i'm thinking is you may need to take the 2 controllers out of omni mode and switch them to specific channels as you go,,,, make sense???

Hi dementedchord,

I'm almost sure the midi connectors are separated. But I'm not sure if the settings will make it behave different. Maybe you can tell by the pics.
B.t.w. I can't find "omni" in the manual, but i guess it's more or less like the daisy-chain principle.

MIDI Control In: Off, In-A, In-B, In-A,B
MIDI Control Out: Off, Out-A, Out-B, Out-A,B
MIDI echo back In-A/In-B: Off, Thru A, Thru B, Thru A,B, RecMonitor

TG Channel setup Off,1,...,32
MIDI OUT-A Channel setup Off,1,...,16
MIDI OUT-B Channel setup Off,1,...,16

omni mode means that the controller sends out signal on all 16 midi channels all the time... as opposed to just ch1 for instance and then for the next track you would change that to say ch2... that top figure the top line "midi controll" makes it look as if it toggles between the two inputs... would be best if someone who owns one comes along and helps us...

I would mess around with the echo back settings, I think thats where your issue is.

Thanks friends,
I tried all possible settings like in/out/echo, on/off/thru/recmon and local on/off. Also I fiddled with the midi-filter, but the result is the same. Not possible to record or a doubling of sounds with an other highlighted instrument.

I'm afraid I can't use the sequencer with more than one keyboard controller at the same time!
