beginner -- i got a problem...

hey, i use ableton live 6.0.10.

for some reason when i record midi, the sound is distributed equally between right and left...

however, when i record guitar (direct input into pc) the sound is also on the left side. when i try to adjust and try to equalize the distribution, it gets really quiet.

why is guitar audio coming through only on the left side?

Another possibility is that you are recording in stereo. Check your settings and make sure to record mono unless you really intend to record stereo.
