Anyone know of an affordable midi device that has realistic sounding string voicings, i.e. violin, cello, viola. Something like a roland sound canvas, maybe? Anyone using anything like that?

if you're serious about this the answer is vsti's... the other trick is dont enter all the parts at once... ie. play them in multiple times... the difference in timing is what gives you the natural chorusing...
