Cubase le and stylus rmx,help!!!

I recently purchased stylus rmx to use with my cubase Le. Can someone give me some basic guidelines on how to use this. Do I need a midi controller keyboard? I just want to get some rhythm tracks recorded. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am new to anything not analog.
