Help! New to Cubase 3

I can't get any sounds in Cubase. Where do I go to set things up? I'm using a 002R. I'm currently a Pro Tools user. I'm falling more towards the midi side that's why I'm trying to get into Cubase. I heard it's got some pretty neat tools for midi; at least better than Pro Tools. That's just what I've been hearing what people say. Please get back on this. I can't wait to start making beats out of it.

Have you set up your outputs in devices>vst connections?

Old, Old advise but so true.......

Read the Getting Started part in the manual. Maybe spend some bucks and buy DVS from AskVideo at https://askvideo.com/product_info.php?products_id=38 This company offers both Cubase SX3 and the new #4 version Tutorials on DVD......check it out. Lots of GOOD info that you can understand. I have the Bundle Cubase SX3 pack it has helped me understand their sometimes complicated software.

Good luck with the learning curve...............
