See if you can find a used pair of NHTPro A10s. Great powered monitor system. They originally went for @$1200, but can often be found for @ $400. I have a couple pairs of them.

I have, and very much like, the Yorkville YSM1P studio monitors. I paid about $400 new.

They're very honest and room-adjustable.

no used gear available

I Forgot To Mention I Cannot Get Used Gear, As I Live Outside The Us, I Can Only Buy Online. Maybe An Online Used Gear Store Will Work, But I Wouldn´t Do It Because I Cant Return Stuff I Dont Like Because Of The Shipping Spences. Only New Stuff Then, I Will Look For The Yorkville, Thanks Everyone

i have the alesis m1 620's, and they're ok. not great, but they get the job done. my biggest gripe is that they're pretty hyped in the lows and highs straight out of the box.

i had a lot of trouble getting my mixes to translate well - then i used the EQ switches on the back of the unit to cut the highs and lows and boost the mids, and now things are pretty cherry.

I like my krk rp-5s, although I find the bass a bit exaggerated. Like Ironklad, messing with the HF settings helped get my mixes to translate better, as did keeping them away from corners and walls. I've had mine for about 6 months and they seem reliable enough. I actually ended up choosing them over a pair of Yorkvilles. From what I recall, the krks had better detail.
