recording simultaneous tracks
Sounds a bit rookie admittedly

But... to recording simultaneous tracks into logic studio will I be needing to invest in an interface? Any suggestions of them?

Figure out how many tracks you want to record simultaneously first

YEP - either a firewire device or dedicated soundcard (pref with breakout box).
