Say im recording a song and i want to edit(punch in or something like that) is it hard to do.

Easy as pie...

...either manually (REC/PLAY and rec-enable the track you want to punch-in on by hand when the time comes), or automatically (set punch-ins/outs at locations 2/3 and turn on Auto-Record mode)........

Nothing to it...

thanks thinking of getting one. now the next question what whould be better for this? I want to record my music on tracks then take it to a studio( like using one A dat than taking it to a studio with more adats for volcals). ADAT or computer recording??

Well, I don't use computers for recording as such, I went the ADAT route.... if you're thinking of compatibility with studios, ADATs shouldn't be a problem in most cases!

I'm sure people could make a strong argument for computer recording too...
