Vista Advice..

Hi- I'm running Vista on a Dell Inspiron 6400 with 2GB RAM.

I know Vista is a bit of a pain in the ass to record on but it's what i've got so gona have to work with it. I'm just looking to record an Acoustic Guitar & Vocals. My budget is as low as possible.

Please advise on what Mic / Mixer / Software / USB Interface I should be looking to purchase, and if you could explain it to me like i'm 5 years old so I definately understand the lingo - that'd be great.

Thanks guys.

Everyone has got their opinion but a good set up, and good price, for what you're trying to do is...

Go buy a PreSonus audio box ($150) They're super simple and presonus makes a pretty good product...
It comes with Cubase LE for software...

For a Mic
MXL V63m
Or MXL 990...
For the price of these mics I can't knock the sound on them...
I think they're about 50-60 bucks apiece... It's been a few years since I've actually played with them so I could be wrong about how they sound...

Just go to Musiciansfriend.com and look up everything... And go to a music store (guitar center) and play with the stuff and ask questions...

Cheers- I'll look into those Mics, a nice condenser mic should do for my Acoustic & Vocals. There's so much choice for a USB Audio Interface though!
