Roll off the highs may help if the noise isn't too big or too far down into the articulation tones. Fixing picking technique might be beter.
If there's not too many you can duck the volume on those leading edges with automation.

You might try using a noise gate on the bass track(s) or maybe just on the parts that bother you. The attack setting of the gate can cut most of the pluck without altering the note. I Can't tell you the exact setting, start with the lowest (shortest) setting then increase it until the pluck can no longer be heard. You might be able to EQ it out if you can isolate the frequency to cut. A treble cut on the bass (tone control) might help. Do you play with your fingers/thumb or use a pick? Playing clocer to the neck can help cut some picking noise. A little more volume and a lighter touch will help too. The best thing to do is practice playing until you no longer hear the offending noise.

Not sure what you mean when you say "plucking" ? are you playing a stand up bass and actually plucking or do you play electric and use a pic? or fingers?

Ahh. Well I'm sure you know but, the more of a 90 deg. angle you are vertically to the face of the guitar when striking the strings the less click you get. There are other benifits as well but, that's for another time

When you're recording always remember garbage in = garbage out. Not saying you play like garbage. But, if you record something and your getting alot of things in there you don't want. Then most offten it is because of how it was recorded. That being said what manner are you using to record? Are you mic'ing an amp, or are you recording direct in?

I even play with one finger when recording if possible to keep the string strikes as even as possible when I record. Helps reduce the need for compression and allows me to totaly avoid using compression at times.
Less compression equals less noticable string clicks too. F.S.
