The Truth About Antares Microphone Modeler (Audio Samples)
I recorded a guitar track with two mics (Beta 57, and e835) and modeled them to be each other with Antares Microphone Modeler to see how accurate it was. I think it made it seem more like the other mic, but it still doesn't come close enough for it trick people. Listen and let me know what you think.

It does change the mic character but it's not a dead ringer. I've owned the Mic Modeler plugin for a couple years. I'm not sure why I bought it, I never use it after several attempts. If anything I like the tube color on the plug in more than anything. Besides Auto Tune, I'm not a big fan of Antares stuff. I l also have the Duo Vox and something else. They sit idle. |
