I'll post the announcement- for amateur song writers, bands, etc.

This message is so important, I'm using capital letters. We're going to be hosting a contest starting on April 15. The rules are simple. Every song submitted to the site between 12:00AM April 15 and 11:59PM May 14 will be automatically entered in the contest. Any song previously submitted to the site is ineligible for this contest. Re-recordings of previously submitted songs are also ineligible. We want new #@&%!.

The artist that submits the best song, according to yours truly, gets a whopping $500. I will try to take what I think are honest votes and comments into consideration, but we're doing this to increase traffic on the site, so I think we can expect a lot of chicanery. So, keeping the final decision completely up to me is the easiest way to be "fair," I think.

In deference to mob rule/democracy, there is a $100 second place prize, which will go to the song that gets the highest total rating. I will try to eliminate multiple votes coming from the same computer, but again, chicanery is to be expected.

Third prize is you're fired.

Battles will go on as usual, but a song's stage placement will have nothing to do with its contest standing. Grand prize could go to a Reject, is what I'm saying.

Over the next couple of days, Disney is going to be making some minor changes to the site, in preparation for the deluge of greedy new users. He will be disabling chat radio, bringing it back hopefully in May, when his new job settles down and he has time to work on the site more. We know about the issue where some evaluation comments aren't showing up. Disney needs an actual song where you know this has happened in order to fix the problem, so if you remember any such instances, let us know here. We'd also like to hear about any other serious bugs, outside of chat radio.
