What Do I need to Start Using My MIc?

hi,

I bought a CM-H8B Cardioid Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone, it did not came w/ a cable, or anything to plug it in to my PC. I am new at this and i need to record a track.

What are you looking to record? If you think you need a mic like that to record you will need other gear to plug in to your pc. There are mics out there that you can just plug into your usb if you want to keep it simple. To use that mice you need either a mic pre with adaptors to plug into your sound card or a sound card/audio interface with built in mic pre's.

you need a preamp and a converter or interface so it can go into your computer
but you can get pretty cheap combos to do that..

whats your budget on this?

You might as well get this one - it's the original that Behringer copied, and it's $10 cheaper.

in a way..you will still have to get a "line" cable and a little converter so it can go into your soundcard...shouldnt be more than 20bucks more..
