fender Solid State

I saw this strange combo amp in a local music store yesterday. The plate with the knobs was about 3"-4" high, set at an angle, and had the words "SOLID STATE" printed on it in red capital letters. It was the words "Twin Reverb" that caught my eye, though, as well as the $250 price tag. While I'm not in the market for a ss amp, I was wondering if anyone could give me more information about it, including whether or not that's a good price. It may not be exactly the twin reverb in the picture, but that's the closest pic I could find to it without really knowing what it was.

Oh, and why didn't I ask the shopkeeper about it? There wasn't one. I stood there for 10 minutes waiting to buy guitar strings. Hell, if I was less honest I could have just taken them, no one seemed to be minding the store.

it only shares names with the twin reverb you are more familiar with. good for a novelty piece, maybe, but i cant recommend you buy it; especially @ $250. these are generally looked upon as some of the most toneless and soulless amps ever to carry the fender logo.
