Installing plugins in os x

Hey guys, I am new to the Mac interface and I want to know how i can install plugins in studio 4.

I have tried installing to the vst folder, and to library/audio/plugins/vst.

I am following the instructions for installation for a freeware compressor but nothing seems to be working right,

The files are .vst

here is the link to the website with the plugins

http://www.digitalfishphones.com/mai...em=2&subItem=5.

If have been following the instructions on the bottom of the page and in the pdf of the zip file.

please help!

Thanks, Flame

Seems pretty simple. I downloaded these plugins and installed them with no problem. You just take the .vst files and drop them in library/audio/plug-ins/vst folder. Then open cubase. Voila.

plugins for mac using garageband

Advice anyone? I am using garageband and want to use a free plugin called studiodevil. Its a guitar distortion. I understand only Macs can use plugins called AU not the VST type. After downloading and finding it in the library/audio/plugins/folder....where do you go from there.....I am lost....How do you access it in garageband?????

There are MAC vst plugins and there are WINDOWS vst plugins.

You MUST make sure that you are using MAC plugs and not PC plugs... they will not run the others code!
