mixing time

how long would it take to mix a track if i gave you just the vocal?

That answer is based upon the fact that it sounds like you are asking someone how long it takes to mix a single track. That's like asking someone how long it takes to mix a spoon of sugar. Or shuffle a single playing card.

Glen, my thoughts exactly. Now if it a is a vocals track and compression/limiting is NEEDED and you want some type of verb added then thats another story. It would depend I think on how many issues there are with the track, how much fixing. If there are none, 15 minutes.

Even then I'd want to reference to the backing tracks to tell how much compression or verb I actually need to sit in the mix right.
