In my opinion Rebirth sounds better for Techno music (at least the included mods).
I'd like to know too if there's a software synthie or sampler or any software that you can make basslines and beats that sound real hip-hop-like (e.g. like the G-Funk stuff or like the Muggs stuff). ?????

i use reason it's great, if you have some akai-cds you can even make your own sampler patches and use them in reason, finally you can use reason with rebirth using rewire or couple cubase with reason and u can use the devices from reason in cubase.

reason is available at www.propellerheads.se

sorry, for my bad english

Or you could use FruityLoops.

You could play your baselines with its virtual keyboard.

http://www.fruityloops.com

I think Cakewalk 9.03 has a program that is a virtual base, but i will have to try to find it for you.
