Soundfonts on soundcards.

I was wondering if it was possible to force soundfonts without having an Awe32? I don't know if it is possible to upgrade the soundcard in my laptop to anything other than what is already there. I really miss the audio quality that soundfonts can present.

Sure there are several soundfont vsti's that will easily beat out anything you could do with a Blaster card:

Free: SFZ

You can load multiple instances in any VST-capable sequencer. Not a CPU hog, either.

Bismark's BS-16 ($50) will let you load up to 8 at a time

Tons more here (kvraudio is your friend!):
