Hey! I like the song. As far as production is concerned I would like to hear a touch more verb on your vox to give it a haunting 'butterfly' type feel. I also feel that you should add another instrument or harmony or something in the lower midrange frequencies. There is a lot of frequency space between the bass and the rest of the parts. (Oh, compress the bass a bit to punch it up some.) I get the feeling that you wanted to use the upper freqs to emphasize the flitting of a butterfly ala "Petr and the Wolf". That's great and mission accomplished. Just add a bit of something below that to fill it up some.

It sounds a lot like "Needle and Damage Done" both in chords and in melody. That was a bit distracting at first, but as I listened more I could focus more on the other parts which were very well done. I think that chord progression has been used in a few pieces. I think the lyrics are great, very meaningful.

Cheers Gentlemen

With you on the 'missing frequency' fiddler

And yes a very tried a true progression - not quite Neil, but dam close I'll grant you - thought the synth lines would throw you off

I have no distance on this song as I wrote it about my daughters 2 months after our adopted daughter (2nd) was match to us. It is the first song in nearly 10 years i have no perspective on - I am not sensitive about criticism - I just have no idea as I can not divorce art from reality - not a problem for me usually.

Thank for feedback

Burt
