Academic version?

So in a couple of months I am enrolling into SAE in atlanta. There they will provide me with (amond other things) Logic Studio Academic. My question is... Are there limitations in this version? OR in ANY Academic versions? Thanks

and there is no upgrade path. which means, when logic 9 comes out, you will have to buy the software again.

I've heard that all the time, but haven't experienced that at all. I originally purchased Logic Pro 7.0 with an academic discount. In fact, when my XSKEY broke, they just sent me a regular non academic one. Even before they did that, never had a problem upgrading to newer versions.

But, you'll have to buy the software again anyway, just at upgrade price.
