Yamaha MM6

Anybody tried this mofo.

I got two of them in my store today, and as I was hopin they turned out great.

Its the first "cheap keyboard-synth" that I`ve tried that actually lived up to its promise.

Its got loads of sounds and it even has got four synth knobs, sutch as enveop attack and so on.

Most importanly for me, it had Organ (Pretty decent sounding, nice rhodes, and last but not least it has Mellotron both flute and Strings).

Soundwise it dident compare to the big boys, or any of the VST`s I have.

But for its price it will make nice to bring on to band jams and sutch.

Sabre Dance

All the sounds (except real violins) are done with the mm6.

After owning one for a year, I would disagree. Some of the sounds do compare to the big boys, especially piano, e piano, acoustic guitars, basses, and some synths. The problem is that there is a ton of "filler", either the sounds are great or they suck.

I love mine. Its quirky but a ton of fun, and the arranger stuff is way cooler than it appears.

I might have been a bit hasty with my comparation to my vst`s.

As I only tried it for about an hour or so.

The VST`s I was thinkin about were The Organ (Native B4, Rhodes Native and last M-tron).

But all in all it sounded like very workable sounds, just havin a Mellotron in a synth is something I`ve wanted for years.

Now I`ll finally be able to compete With Rick and Tony

Btw Sabre dance is very great sounding.

Kudos on great arranging and playin.

Those organ vsts are going to be hard to compete with.

Some of the arps are VERY cool. Try the one on the Sweet flute. It really is a great machine for dirt cheap/

I totaly agree on its bang for the buck value.

And yes those Organs are damn har to compete with, the only thing I`ve heard that comes close is the Nord Electro C1, wich is damn far from my price range.

I have a Yamaha MG 12/4 mixer. I do everything else on the computer, I use SONAR. I never touch the mixer, I just use it so I can use several keyboards at once.
